Nikki works on Mondays and Wednesdays. She is in charge of volunteer recruitment and corporate and special group volunteers.

Lisa is the executive assistant and an instructor. She takes care of SHHRC’s billing and teaches therapeutic riding lessons.

Denise maintains the data bases and provides support.

Ruth works part-time providing physical therapy services to SHHRC clients. She provides PT on Tuesday and Friday.

Jim is the go-to man for keeping SHHRC in tip-top running order. Jim can be found fixing fences, mowing fields and doing general repairs around the facility.

Jess is the weekend barn staff. Stop by and see her in action on Saturdays. The barn is closed Sundays.

Holland is the camp counselor for SHHRC’s Camp Cold Brook in the summer.

SHHRC Staff & Board of Directors

SHHRC has six full-time staff, nine part-time staff and three part-time seasonal staff. There is usually someone in the office Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 5:00.

Kathy is the Program Director at SHHRC; she organizes and oversees all programs. She is also an Equine Specialist, NARHA-certified instructor and driving instructor and teaches therapeutic riding.

Gina Taylor, MS, OT, Therapy Coordinator/ Instructor

Gina is a NJ licensed Occupational therapist and an instructor at SHHRC. She coordinates the Hippotherapy program at SHHRC.

Cristina Maher, Barn Manager/ Instructor

Cris is the Barn Manager and an instructor. She takes care of the SHHRC herd of horses and teaches therapeutic riding lessons.

Carol Ferris, Volunteer Coordinator

Carol coordinates the many volunteers who give their time at SHHRC. She hosts volunteer orientation for all new volunteers.

Nichola is the executive director of SHHRC. She is in charge of overseeing the operation of the entire program, fundraising and interfacing with the SHHRC Board of Directors.
